How to: YouTube

University of Brighton
Media, Industry and Innovation - Live Project
Project Summary:
The 'How to: YouTube' project aims to bring attention to methods and techniques which can be employed by users of the YouTube platform to assist with achieving higher reach and engagement figures. This project offers perspectives on content creation and overall channel management on the platform that users may be lacking. In particular, focusing on consistency with optimizing upload times and channel aesthetics to better conform with the platform's requirements to pleasing their algorithms. Ultimately, this project should highlight the middle ground between pleasing the platform's algorithms and the audiences’ interests. It is possible to create content that can not only fulfil corporate or other such requirements but will also allow channels to cultivate audiences for better performance and overall growth on the platform.
